Adult supervision is always required

Growth Garden boxes are designed for shared caregiver-and-child use. Stay close, read the activity guide and supervise every activity. Never leave a baby or young child unattended with box materials, packaging, cords, ribbons, water, food-like sensory materials or small components.

Age guides and developmental ability

Choose the box intended for your child’s current age and abilities. Age bands are guides, not tests. Some activities may need to be simplified, postponed or removed for an individual child. Older siblings’ materials must be kept away from younger children.

Inspect before every use

Check materials for loose parts, cracks, tears, sharp edges, exposed filling, stretched fasteners or other damage. Stop using any item that is broken, worn, altered, recalled or no longer suitable. Keep all original labels and instructions.

Small parts, cords and packaging

Choking, strangulation and suffocation risks require special care. Keep plastic packaging, desiccants, ties and outer packing away from children. Only use ribbons, bands, scarves or cord-like items exactly as directed and within arm’s reach of an adult.

Hygiene and cleaning

Follow the item-specific cleaning instructions. Do not submerge items unless the guide says they are washable. Discard materials that cannot be cleaned safely after contamination, and do not share mouth-contact items between children.

Allergies and sensitivities

Review material and ingredient information before use. If your child has allergies, sensory sensitivities or a medical condition, ask an appropriate healthcare professional whether an activity is suitable. Stop immediately if irritation, breathing difficulty, distress or an unexpected reaction occurs and seek medical help where necessary.

Educational—not medical—support

Growth Garden activities do not diagnose, treat or replace professional medical, developmental, occupational-therapy, speech-therapy or physiotherapy advice. Speak to a qualified professional if you are worried about your child’s development or safety.

Report a concern

Stop using the item and email support@growthgarden.co.za with your order number, product name, batch information if available, photographs and a description. Confirmed safety notices or recalls will be communicated to affected customers.

Final warnings, cleaning directions, age grading and supplier documentation will be attached to the exact approved products before paid sale.
